Bright Berry Smoothie

Operation Sol Microgreens

We grow all our microgreens inside with high efficiency LED grow lights, tall shelves, and starter trays. This is best for our microgreens. Growing vertically uses less space which is vital for an urban farm and growing inside allows us to provide greens all through the winter. Once we use the dirt it can easily be turned into compost and then reused to grow more greens.

The Smoothie

1 ½ cups Greek vanilla yogurt

4 cups of a frozen Berry mix

6 oz pack of Raspberries

2 oz of Broccoli microgreens

Green tea

In a blender add in the Greek vanilla yogurt and frozen berries we used a mix of blackberries, strawberries, and blueberries then added a pack of fresh raspberries, but you can use whatever mix you want as long as you have berries you're on the right track. Blend for a few minutes until it becomes smooth. If it's too thick or you like a thinner consistency add some green tea. Add in the broccoli microgreens and blend again until they are fully incorporated. Then add your toppings.

serve

Blueberries

Raspberries

Strawberries

Blackberries

Broccoli microgreens

This is a four serving recipe. To assemble, fill four glasses with the smoothie and add on toppings. We went with a couple berries and broccoli microgreens but you can add anything you want. If you prefer no toppings just add some straws into the smoothies and enjoy.
